Raise your hand if you like boring photos. No? ME NEITHER!

I love traveling - Utah and Yosemite have been two of my favorite places so far, but I try to enjoy the sights wherever I am. Our family is always up for a good road trip. We have a small camper that we have pulled all over the country exploring national parks. We won't talk about how our air conditioner went out in the desert or how we broke down multiple times on a trip from Mississippi to Santa Monica and back because even though those things absolutely did happen, I would do it all again tomorrow. That trip will forever be one of our favorites! If you need road trip tips - especially involving the western states - I have plenty.

If you want to hire me for a destination wedding, we should definitely talk. LIKE NOW. I would LOVE to be your tag-a-long and take some killer photos that you and your family will love FOR-E-VER!!!

Oh, and I am a big foodie. I love it when I see those Facebook quizzes asking you to tell how many foods from the list you will not eat because I rarely see an item on there that I haven't tried. Japanese cuisine is my favorite, but I love to try new foods. I'm much more likely to order the vegetarian/ethnic cuisine from a menu than a burger. So... If you're having a sushi bar at your reception, I am definitely gonna want to be there for that.

I'm guessing you're more concerned about why I take photos, though, and that's an easy one... I have ALWAYS been the one with the camera. As far back as I can remember, I have carried a camera everywhere with me. All my life I have worked toward developing my photography skills, but until recently I was not brave enough to pursue anything freelance as a career, so it was always something I did just for fun.

When my children started playing sports, I wanted great photos of them, so I dove into really learning the ins and outs of shooting manually. I began to upgrade my equipment a little at a time, and I started practicing portraits with my oldest (and most willing) daughter. As I got better at the technical side of things, I began to explore the more creative side. I absorbed all I could from the endless inspiration on social media, and my business was born.

I'm never satisfied with my skill level - it's just my nature - so I continue to study new techniques and to upgrade my equipment. I get bored easily, so I'm always pushing the boundaries with my creativity to keep myself excited about the work. If you've stuck around this long, I apologize for the rambling. I hope you'll hit me up for some photos so I can hear you talk about YOU for a change!
